belindvhv asked: Hello there. I've recently just switched interests from japanese sport bikes towards the european cafe racer type bikes. I was wondering if you had any suggestions as to where to start educating myself on these bikes and other resources i should definitely check out. Thanks :)
You could attend cafe racer rallies, which are listed in magazines and online. There you’ll see lots of bikes and meet experts. There’s a TV show too… Cafe Racer TV.
I have a Triumph Bonneville. I didn’t do a lot of research because I’ve wanted the bike since I was a kid in the 60s. But I did read a great deal online about the Triumph company and it’s history. Then I looked in to the Ace Cafe history on Wikipedia, which lead me to other websites and info. I also watched loads of those old biker films on Netflix, which was hilarious.
Where are you located?
My dream one day, to live in a tiny shop in an urban center.
I lived in a storefront in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for 10 years… Unparalleled experience. Hope you meet this dream.
